The Compare panel lets you select any two audit snapshots — for the same domain or different ones — and see exactly what changed: which issues were fixed, which are new, and how each category score shifted.

Opening the Compare panel

There are two ways to open the Compare panel:

  • Click the Compare icon (⚖️) in the left sidebar — this opens the panel with no pre-selection
  • In the Portfolio view, click the quick-compare button on any domain's run history row — this pre-loads that audit as Audit B

Selecting audits to compare

1

Filter by domain (optional)

Use the Domain filter at the top of the Compare panel to narrow the audit list to a specific site. Useful when you have many client domains and want to find audits quickly.

2

Select Audit A (baseline)

Choose the older or baseline audit from the left dropdown. This is typically the before snapshot — e.g. an audit from last month or before a migration.

3

Select Audit B (current)

Choose the newer audit from the right dropdown. This is your after snapshot — showing current state after fixes or improvements.

4

View results

The comparison loads automatically as soon as both audits are selected. No button to click.

Reading the comparison results

Score comparison bars

Each category (Technical SEO, Performance, On-Page, etc.) is shown as two side-by-side bars — Audit A in grey, Audit B in blue — with a delta (+/-) showing the score change. A green delta means improvement; red means regression.

Summary chips

At the top of the results, three chips give you an instant summary:

  • Fixed issues (green) — issues present in Audit A that are now resolved in Audit B
  • New issues (red) — issues that appeared in Audit B but were not in Audit A
  • Unchanged (grey) — issues present in both audits that haven't been resolved

Category score table

A detailed table shows each category with: Audit A score, Audit B score, change, and mini bars. Click any category row to expand and see the individual checks that changed within that category.

💡
Site migration workflow: Run a full audit the day before migration (Audit A). Run another audit 48 hours after launch (Audit B). The Compare panel will immediately show you any regressions introduced by the migration — broken redirects, missing canonical tags, lost pages — so you can fix them fast.
ℹ️
Minimum requirement: You need at least 2 saved audits (for any domain combination) to use the Compare panel. Audits are saved automatically every time you run one.
